WHY DO BUSINESS WITH US with a long-standing record of honesty, integrity and expertise. We belong to the most important professional and collector organizations including the UACC (Universal Autograph Collectors Club - Registered Dealer #32) , APIC (American Political Items Collectors - APIC # 9927), The Manuscript Society and APS (American Philatelic Society). We adhere to the codes of ethics of these organizations. We are professional autograph and collectibles dealers In 1998 Jon Allan became the second person to receive the prestigious UACC, George and Helen Sanders Outstanding Autograph Dealer Award, reflecting his integrity, long-standing love of the hobby, and quality of Elmer's catalogues. We maintain an extensive reference library including the works of Charles Hamilton, the Sanders etc. and have nearly 50,000 authentic autographs at our easy access in order to check the authenticity of what we sell. Few dealers in the country have this sort of reference base at their disposal. We carry the odd and obscure - While we maintain an extensive inventory of 'Big Name' individuals, we pride ourselves on our knowledge of the more obscure autographs, ie. (minor characters actors, Senators, Congressman, Governors, writers etc.) and are one of the few major dealers to regularly list these types of autographs and to have the knowledge of who these people are, why they are important, and what their authentic autograph looks like. We are a socially conscious business - Each month, for many years, the first item or items on every list goes to benefit our local homeless shelter (York County Shelters, Inc.) with which we associated as volunteers. Generally we simply pick collections from our own stock and sell them at reduced rates but on occasion we solicit contributions. Contributors to our sales have included Presidents Ford, Reagan, Carter and Bush, as well as others such as George McGovern, Sargent Shriver, Ed Muskie, Angela Davis etc. We have also used our catalogues to raise money for Hospice, various AIDS related groups and Sustainable Harvest International, an organization teaching farmers in Latin America to use environmentally sound and sustainable farming practices. We stand by what we sell - If you get something from us that you don't like, all you have to do is telephone us and let us know that you will be returning it! Like everyone else, we sometimes make mistakes. If you find that something we have sold you is not authentic, you can return it, no matter how long ago you bought it. |
